What we need
ASHER is looking for a highly analytical Finance Manager with passion, creativity, and an entrepreneurial spirit who thrives in a fast-paced environment. This individual will be responsible for managing P&L reporting, end-to-end budgeting and forecasting processes, driving strategic financial analysis, building out and maintaining financial reporting processes. The ideal candidate would be able to hit the ground running and continue to look for more efficient ways of doing things.

This role could be structured as a Part-Time or Full Time, depending on the candidate, based in our corporate office in Sandy, UT
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead the monthly FP&A process, including assisting with closing the books, updating the financial model with actuals, tracking variances against budget plans, providing operational feedback to department heads.
- Drive consistent improvement in operating margins by discovering and highlighting areas where the business can systematically improve profitability.
- Collaborate with inventory planning to report on key inventory efficiency metrics like inventory turns, track excess and obsolete inventory, and work with cross-functional partners to reduce excess and obsolete inventory.
- Work with the marketing and sales teams to maintain sales forecasts and perform scenario planning.
- Work closely with the team to ensure our books are closed accurately and on-time each month and that expenses are allocated correctly.
- Manage the AR and AP of the business.
- Provide regular monthly financial reporting to ASHER executive team.
- Assess financial impact of potential new categories, products, or distribution channels.
Qualifications:
- Strong organization skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or similar degree
- Experience building three statement financial models and closely monitoring and forecasting cash.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment where ambiguity is commonplace.
- 2-4 years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or FP&A
- Exceptional analytical skills including advanced Excel modeling.
- Ability to execute against multiple projects/deadlines and manage key stakeholders while moving projects forward and maintaining high work quality.
- Ability to maintain a friendly and professional demeanor in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong oral and written communication skills, including the ability to distill complex, data-rich topics to a variety of audiences.
- Familiarity with accounting/financial reporting systems
- Track record of success taking initiative, solving problems, and going above and beyond to get things done, especially under tight deadlines/time pressure.
- Experience in taking abstract business scenarios, identifying the key drivers and components, and translating into financial and operational models.
- Experience working for a high growth direct to consumer startup.
