Job Overview:
As a Field Operations Manager at a renewable energy Startup, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and managing the field operations in the Renewable Energy and Gas sector. You will be responsible for ensuring safe, efficient, and effective operations at various project sites, while maintaining a focus on environmental sustainability. Your leadership and expertise will contribute to the success of our projects and the growth of the company. You will lead a small team in remote areas gathering data while expanding our drilling campaigns.
Responsibilities:
- Manage Field Operations: Lead and manage field operations across multiple project sites, ensuring adherence to project schedules, quality standards, and safety protocols.
- Team Management: Supervise and mentor field staff, including technicians, operators, and contractors. Provide guidance, support, and training to ensure optimal performance and productivity.
- Project Planning and Execution: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop project plans, including resource allocation, equipment procurement, and logistics. Oversee the execution of projects, ensuring compliance with regulations and contractual obligations.
- Safety and Environmental Compliance: Promote a strong safety culture and ensure adherence to safety guidelines and regulations. Implement and monitor environmental sustainability practices at project sites.
- Performance Monitoring: Develop and implement performance metrics and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to track project progress, productivity, and efficiency. Analyze data and provide regular reports to management.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related field. Additional certifications in project management or operations management are desirable.
- Experience: Minimum eight years of experience in field operations management, preferably in the Renewable Energy and Gas industry. Experience with gas infrastructure, renewable energy installations, or power generation projects is highly advantageous.
- Leadership Skills: Proven leadership abilities with the ability to motivate and manage diverse teams. Strong decision-making, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Technical Knowledge: Solid understanding of renewable energy technologies, gas infrastructure, and field operations processes. Familiarity with relevant regulations, industry standards, and environmental best practices.
- Safety Focus: In-depth knowledge of safety regulations, risk assessment, and mitigation strategies. Experience in implementing safety programs with OSHA or other safety certifications.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders at various levels and build collaborative relationships.
- Flexibility and Travel: Willingness to travel to project sites as required and work in dynamic, outdoor environments. Flexibility to adapt to changing project demands and work schedules.
