When you join Verizon

Verizon is one of the world’s leading providers of technology and communications services, transforming the way we connect across the globe. We’re a diverse network of people driven by our shared ambition to shape a better future. Here, we have the ability to learn and grow at the speed of technology, and the space to create within every role. Together, we are moving the world forward – and you can too. Dream it. Build it. Do it here.

What you’ll be doing...

Are you able to engage internal and external customers who have mechanical and technology experience in a way that inspires confidence?

Sr. Analyst Field Service Representatives (FSRs) are telematics installation experts who set the standard for telematics installation technique and safety by applying their knowledge and experience with low voltage electronics and vehicle systems.

You will develop, perform and critique device installation and configuration troubleshooting processes, and are responsible to verify or correct the installation quality and operations of third party installation providers and customers who choose to perform their own installations.

FSRs must possess the ability to methodically evaluate problems and issues with the customer’s fleet and further isolate the source of the issue as a hardware software or vehicle and be able to successfully arrive at the right solution.

Key responsibilities and tasks

  • This role works closely with Hardware Engineering, Product Management, Sales and Sales Engineering, Customer Onboarding, contracted installation partners, and other VZC internal teams acting as subject matter experts to ensure customers receive the highest possible installation quality and guidance.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional business partners to problem solve and ensure productive communication and implementation of processes
  • Gathering necessary data for issue replication, problem determination and/or escalation.
  • Ability to spend all day working at a desk using a PC and telephone
  • Acquiring and maintaining current knowledge of relevant product offerings and support policies to provide a best in class installation experience
  • Willingness to work flexible hours outside in all types of weather conditions
  • This hybrid role will have a defined work location that includes work from home and assigned office days as set by the manager.

What you need to have

  • Experience with telematics installation, low voltage electronics, and automotive mechanical experience
  • Ability to travel up to 10%, and occasionally be on the road up to two weeks at a time
  • Detailed understanding of telematics hardware and software solutions, and low voltage electronics and vehicle systems
  • 3+ years experience in a telematics installation role
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • 3+ years experience working face to face with customers

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • CTT+ certification or technical training experience
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate to internal and external stakeholders with a focus on collaboration
  • MECP, ASE or other pertinent automotive mechanical training
  • Proven ability to excel in a fast paced environment
  • Experience as an installation subject matter expert for a product release team

If Verizon and this role sound like a fit for you, we encourage you to apply even if you don’t meet every “even better” qualification listed above.

Where you’ll be working

In this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location that includes work from home and assigned office days set by your manager.
