Job Description

We want to create a one-of-a-kind sports+ festival mash-up that incorporates pickleball participation and is themed as a backyard party. Responsibilities

  • Strategically support significant team initiatives, including sponsor sales, investor & community relations and future growth opportunities
  • Assist team in creating and revising run of show
  • Assist in developing key operational processes, both internally and externally, for all facets of event and festival operations to foster consistency, scalability and sustainability
  • Manage event budget and individual event P&Ls
  • Focus on overall experience of festival attendees
  • Plan and execute all logistics of each tour stop, including: acting as main contact for venue, and all vendors, creating site map & flow, negotiating with and securing local and national vendors, securing all necessary permits, recruiting local staff & volunteers, supervising event set up & breakdown, advising on needed signs and maps, instituting event’s safety protocol and arranging VIP hospitality
  • Work with COO to target venues and negotiate contracts to create optimal tour schedule


Qualifications

  • Able to multitask, delegate, meet tight deadlines, problem-solve on the fly
  • Sound business judgment with established strategic and conceptual thinking and planning skillsThis position is expected to start as soon as possible and continue through the entire Winter/Spring term (i.e. through April/May) or into early Summer 2023 if available.
  • Dynamic, forward-thinking positive team player, adept at engaging and leveraging internal resources to achieve success and contribute to the wider team environment
  • Demonstrated track record of planning, managing successful events of 5,000+ attendees
  • 5+ years experience event/festival management
