Fashion Designer For Startup Business - United States

We are a growing fashion brand based in Dubai, UAE focusing on activewear. Over the last couple of years, we have been continually expanding our business to meet the needs and expectations of our loyal consumers and society as a whole. Currently we are looking to hire a potential fashion designer to provide fashion leadership support in business, technical, operational and fabrication.

Job Role:

• Development of sustainable fashion
• Market designs to clothing retailers or directly to consumers
• Visit fabric store, boutique or trade shows to get fabric samples
• Work with other designers or team members to create a sample design
• Oversee the final production of their designs
• Study fashion trends and anticipate designs that will appeal to consumers
• Decide on a theme for a collection
• Present design ideas to director or showcase them in fashion or trade shows
• Select fabrics, embellishments, colors, or style for each garment or accessory
• Use computer-aided design programs (CAD) to create designs

Requirements:

• Creative, innovative, discipline, hard worker, able to work with target
• Responsible not only to create new designs with fresh idea and meet the market needs but also to follow-up projects with suppliers
• Familiar with Corel draw, Free hand, Photoshop, Adobe illustrator and any other design software
• Having at least 5-8 years’ experience
• Strong organizational skills
• Update on fashion trends and market needs
• Well-versed with sustainable fashion
• Excellent knowledge in garment construction, technical specifications, fabrics, patterns, printings and embroideries
• Willing to be placed in any production facility in Middle East, Far East or Europe
• Willing to learn and follow instructions from senior member
• Diploma degree or Bachelor degree in Fashion Design
