Family Nurse Practitioner - Primary Care (Methodist Medical Plaza South)


IU Health Physicians is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to join our Family Medicine team at our Methodist Medical Plaza South clinic!

Position Details:

  • Full-time
  • Team includes 5 physicians and 3 advanced practice providers
  • Days M-F
  • Expected patient volume is 80/week, all ages
  • 100% outpatient
  • No weekends, holidays, or call

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintains documentation in accordance with IU Health and IU Health Physicians policies, standards, and regulatory guidelines.
  • Directs the development, implementation, and evaluation of standards for nursing practice.
  • Develops treatment plan to maximize the health potential of the individual, family, and/or community.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of growth and development over the lifespan.
  • Formulate appropriate differential diagnosis and identification of individual, family, and community needs.
  • Orders and adjusts medication per collaborative written agreement and prescriptive authority in accordance with the Indiana Nurse Practice Act, or in consultation, and with signature of physician.
  • Assess health status through obtainment of relevant health history and comprehensive physical exam, preventative screening, and identification of medical risk factors.

Qualifications:

  • 2-3 years of outpatient experience in primary care or urgent care preferred
  • If new graduate, ICU/critical care RN experience required
  • FNP certification required
