Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Family Law Paralegal to join our legal team and provide comprehensive support to our family law attorneys. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of family law practices and procedures, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with clients and other legal professionals.


Requirements:

  • Familiarity with various family law cases, including divorce, child custody, adoption, and spousal support.
  • Experienced with computer skills including proficiency in MS Office and electronic research tools
  • Knowledge of state and federal court filing guidelines and e-filing
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to interact professionally with clients, attorneys, and court personnel.
  • 2+ years of Family Law Paralegal experience


Responsibilities:

  • Assist attorneys in managing a diverse caseload of family law matters, including divorce, child custody, spousal support, adoption, and domestic violence cases.
  • Preparing motions, written discovery requests, pleadings, and all other correspondence and court filings
  • Organizing exhibits; organizing and indexing documents; client interaction; scheduling meetings; processing time-entry and expense reports; and other duties as needed
  • Perform administrative duties such as scheduling appointments, managing attorney calendars, and maintaining organized case files.
