WE HAVE MULTIPLE OPENINGS!
Departments:
  • Assembly: Assemble premium and electric vehicles at the assigned workstations on a moving assembly line performing any combination of tasks according to specifications with the use of hand tools, power tools, assist devices, and production fixtures.
  • Body: Load metal body components into automated welding equipment to form body sub-assemblies.
  • Paint: Paint processes include a sealer application, sanding, and paint spray equipment to prepare the van for assembly.
Shifts :
  • Third
  • Second
The position and shift for each candidate will be based on skills, knowledge, experience, and business needs.
An invitation only assessment will be hosted on September 30th. Please be sure to have all applications submitted prior to the assessment.
Qualifications
Responsibilities may include:
  • Machine feeding, set ups, operation of automated and robotic welding machines
  • Perform quality and visual inspection of final welds
  • Work with hand, power, and pneumatic tools
  • Efficiently and safely load machines with required parts and identify any issues that arise
  • Participate in the Continuous Improvement Program
  • Sanding, grinding and deburring of metals
  • Read and interpret diagrams and blueprints of the process
  • Monitor and set up machinery for optimal performance
  • Assemble and fabricate metal structure according to work specifications
Minimum Requirements:
  • Ability to push, pull, squat or bend and turn repeatedly
  • Be over the age of 18 years old
  • Ability to occasionally lift and/or move objects weighing over 35lbs
  • Valid US work authorization
  • Ability to work overtime as required
  • High School Diploma or GED. Relevant manufacturing experience preferred
  • Successful completion of a drug screen, background check, and pre-placement medical exam
  • Ability to stand, use hands, arms to finger, and reach for long periods of time
  • Must successfully pass assessment testing

Mercedes-Benz Vans, LLC (“MBV”) is a plant in Ladson, South Carolina that assembles Sprinter vans for the U.S. and Canadian market under the brand Mercedes-Benz. The midsize Mercedes-Benz Metris vans are also reassembled at this location.
Mercedes-Benz Vans, LLC has invested more than 500 million U.S. dollars in the new Sprinter plant, which officially opened in 2018. Today the MBV facility provides more than 1,600 jobs and supports at least 600 additional jobs in the region through its suppliers. More than 260,000 Sprinter and Metris vans have been assembled in North Charleston and delivered to destinations across the U.S since 2006. In 2021, the plant celebrated its 15-year legacy of SKD production.
