Job Description
What to Expect
The Facilities Maintenance Manager plays a critical role in ensuring factory utilities meet the demand of the production lines at Gigafactory Nevada. The ideal candidate for this role will have in-depth experience developing and implementing facilities maintenance plans in a manufacturing environment and be comfortable leading and inspiring large teams.
What You’ll Do
  • Directly manages up to 3 planners and 5 supervisors covering 24x7 operation.
  • Coordinates maintenance activities to align with planned production downtime for each all building tenants
  • Acts as an incident commander during facility excursions.
  • Duties include formulating policies and procedures and planning the use of materials and human resources.
  • Responsible for development of training and growth programs for maintenance technicians
  • Reviews activity reports, and other performance data to measure productivity and goal achievement
  • Manages escalations across all shifts
  • Ensures consistent quality of maintenance across shifts
  • Responsible for leading skilled technical staff in executing maintenance projects with knowledge across Electrical, Mechanical, HVAC, and other facility utility disciplines.
  • Manages the use of external contactors for complex maintenance activities, and ensures contractors meet quality expectations.
  • Generates quarterly spend forecasts and ensures spend stays within forecast
What You’ll Bring
  • Sits at computer terminal, uses computer for extended periods of time
  • Work in heavy equipment rooms, chemical storage, and distribution locations, and industrial waste plants
  • 6+ years of related trade experience supporting semiconductor or battery manufacturing facilities
  • Wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) per site protocol
  • Ability to sit, stand and/or walk for 10+ hours per day
  • BS degree in technical field or equivalent in work experience.
  • Must be able to lift at least 10-20 lbs.
  • Capable of obtaining OSHA 30 within 3 months of hire.
Proven track record of:
  • Pushing teams to work with limited resources and creative methodologies that helped to overcome the resource constraints.
  • Managing a multi-disciplinary team.
