Job Description

(This position is open to current permanent, contractual, and temporary State of Maryland employees)

This is a position specific recruitment. The resulting list of eligible candidates will be used to fill this Maryland Transportation Authority (MDTA) position/function only. All interested persons will need to re-apply for any future recruitment conducted for this classification.

The Maryland Transportation Authority (MDTA) owns, operates, and maintains eight major toll facilities comprised of four bridges, two tunnels, and two turnpikes, across the State of Maryland. Nature of Work: The E-ZPass Quality Assurance Specialist Supervisor is the supervisory level of work developing, implementing, and monitoring quality assurance standards for advanced technical work in quality assurance testing, evaluation and reporting for the MDTA E-ZPass Program. The incumbent will assign, review, approve, and train lower-level Quality Assurance Specialist who perform the planning, managing, conducting, and coordinating of quality assurance tests and audits in the procurement, operations and maintenance phases of systems, facilities, and equipment life cycles, to ensure contract compliance, standardization of training, policy adherence and revenue protection. Other duties for the position include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Conducts advanced transaction and financial investigations into customer's account;
  • Monitors the technical and performance specifications of all tolling system functions.
  • Ensures cooperation with the Customer Information Center (CIC) employees at the contractor location with contract compliance and transaction accuracy related inquiries;
  • Responsible for reviewing audits by verifying the creation of transactions through its final disposition; and
  • Present detailed information in a fast-paced court room setting as well as assisting the attorney representing MDTA with customer resolutions;
  • Oversee the audit of employees' tasks and transactions for the collection of revenue from customers who use MDTA toll facilities and pay through E-ZPass accounts and video tolling process;

This position will be supervised by the E-ZPass Quality Assurance & Compliance Manager or other designated official. The current vacancy is in Baltimore, Maryland.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
Experience: Five years of experience in administrative or professional work. One year of this experience must have involved one or more of the following: the supervision of other employees, overseeing and coordinating the general operations of a unit, applying rules and regulations, or exercising responsibility for the development of policies or procedures. **Two years of this experience must have included planning and managing quality assurance tests related to revenue collection.

Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience involving staff work related to the administration of rules, regulations, policies, procedures and processes, or overseeing or coordinating unit operations or functioning as a staff assistant on a year-for-year basis for the required education and experience.
