Job Description

Duties

  • Preparing formal reports of violations detected involving medical equipment, procedures, processes, and misuse.
  • Performing assessments of a quality assurance program and administrative records to determine regulatory compliance.
  • Reviewing and recommending improvements to standard operating procedures for all quality assurance activities including: system monitoring, internal audits, and corrective action plans.
  • Reviewing results of healthcare environment of care, biomedical engineering, and environmental services program audits and evaluations conducted by others to determine a corrective plan of action.
  • Conducting statistical analysis, sampling, testing, inspections to monitor variables that effect quality of systems and services.
  • Formulating and executive actions plans in response to business management problems, directives, regulations, or any other area requiring action or response.

Qualifications

You qualify at the GS-11 level, if you meet one of the following qualification requirements:
You must demonstrate in your resume at least one (1) year of qualifying experience equivalent to at least the GS-09 level in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector, performing the following types of tasks: reviewing and recommending improvements to standard operating procedures (SOPs) in a clinical or hospital establishment; preparing formal reports of violations detected involving medical equipment, procedures, processes, and misuse; reviewing results of biomedical program audits and evaluations conducted by others to determine a corrective action plan; conducting statistical analysis, sampling, testing, and/or inspections to monitor variables that effect quality of systems and services; and planning and developing a reporting system to manage program operations and performance for a biomedical equipment program.
OR
Completion of a PhD degree in an accredited or pre-accredited college or university; or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree; or possession of a LLM degree, with a major study in quality assurance, statistics, mathematics, production management, industrial management, computer science, engineering, engineering technology, physical sciences, textiles, or other fields if related to the position.

A combination of education and specialized experience that meets the qualification requirements for this position.
