Pohanka Volkswagen of Capitol Heights, MD is looking to hire a full-time Express Technician to join our team! If you want to work amongst talented technicians and management that values their team members as an individual rather than just another number, come and see what we have to offer!

Our Shop provides an excellent working environment, with the opportunity to graduate to our Apprentice Program, led by a Volkswagen Master Technician we like to call “Bob”. And Responsibilities


  • Provide an estimate of time needed for additional repairs
  • Communicates directly with the Service Advisor so that customers can be informed if any additional service is needed
  • Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership standards
  • Responsible for services that can be performed in an hour and a half or less. This may include but not limited to oil changes, tire rotations, replace/patch tires, brake pad/rotor replacement, fluid flushes, battery testing and/or replacement, engine and cabin air filters, and the potential to learn and execute recalls based on experience level.
  • Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications (to include proper documentation)


Applicant Qualifications


  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Willing to undergo a pre-employment background check and drug screening
  • Team player and proactive communicator
  • Reliable transportation to get to and from work
  • Previous express technician experience preferred but willing to train the right candidate who may be graduating from an automotive program
  • Ensure that customer’s cars are kept clean with a fix it right the first-time mentality
  • Positive, friendly attitude, along with a customer service mentality
