We are seeking an expert compliance professional proficient in analyzing health care laws and regulations.This person will be responsible for creating content that distills the complex regulatory changes issued by healthcare regulators across the country into a straightforward business requirement.You must have your own PC or laptop and a reliable high-speed Internet connection.
Job Duties Include:
- Manage your work queue to ensure completed business requirements are released to the industry end-users in a timely manner.
- Translating regulatory information into easy-to-understand business requirements within our web-based compliance management system.
- Reading and analyzing new laws and regulations to identify key regulatory changes impacting compliance.
- Creating model procedures, templates, tasks, information, and materials to assist healthcare providers in executing the indicated business requirements.
Position Requirements:
- Superior writing skills.
- Strong legal research abilities using Internet-based resources.
- Ability to effectively and accurately analyze healthcare laws and regulations.
- Experience in healthcare regulatory compliance (preferably5 or more years).
- Strong sense and knowledge of health care compliance professional job responsibilities and the information needed by health care compliance professionals within healthcare organizations and practice groups.
- Ability to effectively communicate regulatory requirements to a predominantly non-lawyer audience.
Other desired skills/experience includes:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in the hospital, skilled nursing facility (SNF), home health (HH), or hospice compliance preferred.
- Experience with a health plan, accountable care organization or in a healthcare auditor role a plus.
- Proficiency in MS Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel).
- Any combination of CHC, RHIA, RHIT, or CPC compliance certifications a plus.
- Strong knowledge of the health care industry and health care system operations.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Self-directed and able to work independently.
- JD preferred.
This position is a remote (work from home) full-time position, with a starting salary of $70,000/yr.
