Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is looking for a Quality Production Specialist (Level 2 or 3) - Investigations to support the Supplier Quality Containment team located in North Charleston, South Carolina.

The primary focus of this role will be investigating, containing and acquiring comprehensive Root Cause and Corrective Action of defective supplier product escapes related to 787 program. In this role one will be encouraged to: collaborate and connect with internal and external partners, supervise and respond to supplier communication, and support Program BPS structure.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Acquires corrective action on nonconforming plans and hardware/processes and submits for review.
  • Review and validation of product non-conformances and disposition type, quality procedures and engineering requirements.
  • Participates and observes the validation associated with corrective action to assure nonconformance has been eliminated.
  • Analysis to identify and evaluate the quality of products, operations and processes.
  • Development, modification and documentation of actions to assure problem resolution or to implement corrective/preventive action.
  • Captures data and provides recommendations/solutions to nonconformance of plans, products or processes.
  • Supports concurrence and obtains commitments to support program resolution.
  • Lead investigation to determine root cause of nonconformance of plans. Ability to apply knowledge of aerospace design, systems and integration to perform failure and forensic analysis of aerospace components and systems.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 2+ years of experience in a production-related field such as Manufacturing, Quality, Production Engineering, Supplier Management, and/or Supplier Quality
  • 2+ years of experience with conducting quality investigations, Root Cause analysis and implementation and verification of Corrective Actions in production environments
  • 2+ years of experience using all the following Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel and Outlook)

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 2+ years’ experience developing presentations for senior leadership
  • Experience working directly with suppliers.
  • 787 Program Experience

Typical Education/Experience:

Associate (Level 2):
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Associate) and typically 1 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Bachelor, 3 years' related work experience, etc.).

Mid-Level (Level 3):
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Associate) and typically 3 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Bachelor+1 years' related work experience, 5 years' related work experience, etc.).

Summary pay range for associate level: $65,450- $88,550

Summary pay range for mid-level: $83,300-$112,700
