About The Role
The Experience Writer plays a vital role in crafting compelling and impactful written content for the web and across various digital channels to enhance the overall user experience. This mid-level role involves crafting impactful messaging, developing brand voice and tone guidelines, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure consistent and high-quality content delivery. The Experience Writer will leverage their exceptional writing skills and creative mindset to captivate audiences, reinforce brand messaging, drive content strategy, and deliver customer satisfaction.
What You’ll Do
  • Create high-quality, engaging, and persuasive written content primarily for large scale websites but potentially mobile apps, social media, and email campaigns as well.
  • Contribute to thought leadership content on experience design topics.Top of Form
  • Edit and proofread content for grammar, style, clarity, and accuracy, ensuring adherence to brand guidelines and industry standards.
  • Assist with and execute a cohesive data-driven content strategy that aligns with the organization's brand voice, tone, and overall user experience goals.
  • Collaborate with UX/UI teams to ensure seamless integration of written content into visual and interactive elements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define content requirements and ensure timely delivery of projects.
  • Utilize research and data to inform content development and enhance user experience.
  • Craft clear and concise messaging that effectively communicates key brand messages, product information, value propositions, and calls to action.
  • Develop and maintain brand voice and tone guidelines to ensure consistent messaging across all customer touchpoints.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to continuously improve content quality and user experience.
  • Optimize content for search engine optimization (SEO) to improve organic visibility and drive traffic.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior writers, offering constructive feedback and fostering their professional growth.
What You’ll Need
  • Collaborative and team-oriented approach, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity and comfort with user-centered design methods and a strong understanding of how content fits into the design process.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
  • An interest in using data to drive content decisions.
  • Creative mindset and ability to generate innovative ideas and concepts.
  • Experience working closely with designers, researchers, data strategists, and technologists.
  • Strong understanding of content strategy, user experience principles, and the ability to think strategically about content creation.
  • Bachelor's degree in English, journalism, communications, marketing, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Strong client-facing presentation, workshop, and communication abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple competing priorities and ask for help when needed.
  • A strong portfolio of diverse written content across different digital channels.
  • Experience with search engine optimization strategies.
  • Curiosity, tenacity, and flexibility in challenging situations.
  • Strong ability to analyze and synthesize inputs (e.g., research, business goals, user needs) into clear language about complex subjects.
  • Willingness to test and learn.
  • 3-5 years of experience planning and creating content for digital experiences.

The base salary range for this position at the time of this posting is indicated below. Individual compensation varies based on job-related factors, including location, business needs, level of responsibility, experience, and qualifications. Pay Range
$45,000—$90,000 USD
