GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

This position serves as the ICF (Intermediate Care Facility) Administrator at the Wyoming Life Resource Center. It reports directly to the Facility Administrator and is responsible for the general administration and management of ICF residential services.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: The listed functions are illustrative only and are not intended to describe every function which may be performed at the job level.
  • Delegate accountability and authority to department supervisors to effectively manage their employees. Ensure accountability with employee job performance, counseling sessions, and/or additional training.
  • Manage overtime costs, staff stabilization, and timely submittal of evaluations in conformance with the Performance Management Initiative.
  • Ensure the sound fiscal operation of the facility, including presenting, implementing, and monitoring the operating budget.
  • Communicate vision, mission, and initiatives to improve services and the quality of care expectations to help residents, family members, staff, and other stakeholders understand the facility's mission and purpose and how it relates to each stakeholder.
  • Responsible for overall compliance with ICF/IID state and federal rules and regulations concerning quality of care and life safety issues.
  • Provide general administration and management for ICF/IID (Medicaid Intermediate Care Facility for Individuals with Intellectual Disabilities) services. Lead the planning process to develop goals for quality care, employee management, and financial performance.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Ensure that all departments are working together to accomplish the vision and mission of the organization.
  • Plan, develop, update, and implement a strategic plan for the facility and its services.

Qualifications

PREFERENCES:

Preference may be given to applicants with:


  • Experience working in the healthcare field.
  • Three or more years directly supervising multiple employees.
  • A B.A. or B.S. degree or higher.

KNOWLEDGE:
  • Skills in oral and written communication at an excellent level.
  • Ability to work in a team-based setting as well as work independently.
  • Ability to work with and around WLRC residents, including those who may display challenging behaviors.
  • Knowledge of finance, 24/7 healthcare facility operation leadership, budget, human resource concepts, principles, and practices.
  • Ability to direct the work of numerous staff through various facility levels provide continuous performance management, and training, and administer appropriate corrective actions as necessary.
  • Ability to lead, motivate, supervise, and motivate a team.
  • Knowledge of management principles and organizational behavior.
  • Ability to effectively communicate across all levels of the team and organization.
  • Ability to develop, monitor, and coordinate quality assurance activities and provide leadership and guidance in meeting all quality standards.
  • Skills in interpersonal relationships at an excellent level.
  • Ability to administer public presentations and be a spokesperson for the facility, department, and people with disabilities.

NOTES:
  • This is an At-Will position.
