Job Description

We’re looking for a bright, talented, growth-minded professional who has a passion for servicing customers and wants to work in an energetic, positive environment.

We’re a local and rapidly growing Insurance Agency so this position comes with future growth opportunities. We are actually filling this because the person who has rocked this position has been promoted to new responsibilities!You will work directly with our customers with their billing, changes, and claims while working hard to make the entire process simple and beneficial to them! The goal is to build up strong positive relationships, ensure growth attainment and increase our firm’s reputation.

This position is full-time, Monday through Friday in either our Newmarket or Rochester office- you choose! Compensation will consist of hourly pay plus incentives.

The position provides:

  • We will provide product and technology training.
  • This is a full-time position with a consistent schedule in our office. No nights or weekends are required.

  • This is an hourly position.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Convey a welcoming presence while answering the phone, responding to client questions, greeting guests, and carrying out responsibilities that ensure a consistent appointment process.
  • Monitor insurance claims to ensure mutual satisfaction
  • Provide continuing service to customers including addressing basic customer questions, handling billing issues, filing claims, and addressing simple policy changes.This includes having professional conversations with customers, filing forms, and documenting every transaction.
  • Assist with building processes and procedures while we continue to grow at a rapid pace.
  • Address office administrative tasks including handling mail, sending mail, and answering phones.
  • Constantly update job knowledge and learn about new products and services
  • Enhance insurance agency reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
  • Update prospect/client records
  • Maintain detailed customer database and records
  • Build strong relationships with customers and prospects with the goal to build lifetime customers.
  • Maintain a strong work ethic with a total commitment to success each and every day.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • 1-3+ years’ experience in a comparable office setting preferred
  • Experience in delivering client-focused solutions and in creating long-lasting relationships
  • Solid knowledge and comfort with email, word documents, spreadsheets, and utilizing databases.
  • Ability to explain complex issues and concepts to customers so that they understand them fully
  • High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills.
  • Pleasant telephone manner
