The Joseph Whitaker School is a popular oversubscribed school of 1300 students with attainment levels above the national average at both GCSE and post 16. We were inspected in March 2019 and the school was again judged as being “good”. It is worth reading the Ofsted letter as this gives a true flavour of our school.
The Governors are seeking to appoint Exam Invigilators to join our existing team who are employed on a casual basis to supervise students during the examination periods. If you are a highly motivated person with excellent organisational skills, able to work as part of a team or alone, enjoy working with young children and adults then this is the role for you. Key attributes include reliability, enthusiasm, and ability to follow instruction, excellent organisation and communication skills, hardworking, punctual and have a flexible approach.
On the application form, please focus on a detailed 'supporting statement' taking into account the person specification and indicating why you would be the best person for us to recruit to this position.
Candidates are more than welcome to visit the school at any time and/or please view our school website josephwhitaker.org.
The successful candidate will have to meet the requirements of the person specification in order to be offered the post, will be required to undergo a full enhanced DBS check and must be eligible to work in the UK. The Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. Safeguarding checks will be undertaken during the recruitment process and this may include online searches.
We welcome applications regardless of age, gender, ethnicity or religion.
Closing date for applications is 9AM, Friday 19th May 2023
