As an EVS III you will be responsible for executing the daily duties required to establish and maintain a safe, hygienic and aesthetically pleasing care environment. Provide corrective cleansing action for rooms and public areas while engaged in contact with staff, visitors, patients and patient's families as needed. Contact may include physical, psychological, educational and safety related and should be appropriate to the specific demographics of patients served in assigned service areas. Responsible for timely cleaning of rooms, floors in corridors, wet mopping, cleaning and disinfecting fixtures, bed tracking system (EPIC or other system), respond to pager, overhead pages and including hard surfaces and carpeting. Including cleaning stairwell and elevators and hanging of curtains, as well as other assigned areas to meet established cleanliness and infection control standards. EVS Technician 3 is to ensure cleansing standards are according to the Association for Health Care Environment (AHE) publication Practice Guidance for Health Care Environmental Cleaning policies as the EVS Tech 3 is an essential contributor to cleaning, disinfection, infection prevention, and train employees. This is for shift 5p-1:30a at our Plano, TX.
WORK EXPERIENCE
At least 1 year experience and can demonstrate effective use of computers and/or movable devices for job performance activities required
EDUCATION
High school diploma or GED preferred
LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS
The Association for the Health Care Environment (AHE): Effective 12/3/2020, existing employees must obtain both Certified Health Care Environmental Services Technician (CHEST) and Certified Surgical Cleaning Technician (CSCT) certification by 12/3/2021. New employees must obtain both certifications within first year of hire required
