POSITION PROFILE:
Reporting to the Associate Director of Catering & Conference Services, the Event Coordinator will be the onsite point of contact for groups and weddings while on property. The Event Coordinator is also the liaison between the group or wedding and the rest of the staff while group or wedding is on property. In addition to the above responsibility, the Event Coordinator will work with the Associate Director of Catering & Conference Services to assist in planning and detailing of future groups, including weddings. They will have excellent relational and personable attributes, organizational and computer skills, exceptional customer service skills and a passion for the hospitality industry. Must be able and willing to work a flexible schedule including nights and most weekends based on departmental needs. Strives to model the Pursell Farms core values in the completion of their work.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTION:
- Assists clients with last minute changes and needs while on property
- Direct and provide assistance to group and wedding attendees
- Perform all other duties as assigned
- Outgoing and exciting personality is a key
- Work with the Banquets team to ensure all events are set up correctly and in a timely manner
- Has complete knowledge and understanding of all events and groups on property
- Manages the daily events of clients on property
- Demonstrate a pro-active personality to identify and address issues or concerns
- Assists as a Pursell Farms onsite representative from the Sales and Catering Department
- Follows up and provides management of BEO modifications, & Banquet check
- Details Weddings and is the onsite contact for the event
DESIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
- High School graduate
Skills and Abilities:
- Microsoft Office Suite- intermediate to advanced proficiency
- Proficient in the use of all routine office equipment
- DELPHI software experience preferred, but not required
- At least one year of experience working in a hospitality sales setting preferred, but not required
- Demonstrated organizational and communication skills
