ADMIT U CONSULTING IS HIRING A COLLEGE ESSAY COACH

Admit U Consulting is seeking passionate writers who want to share their expertise in an educational setting. Our College Essay Coach will work with high school juniors and seniors on their college application essays, including The Common Application and all supplemental essays. We do our best to make the process fun, stress-free, and personal.

College application essays allow students to reveal the person behind their GPA, standardized test scores, extracurricular endeavors, and the rest of their high school profile. And while the essay can’t substitute for solid grades or outstanding scores, it can be the “tie-breaker” that ultimately decides admission and provides context to the application. We are seeking master-writers that have the tenacity and drive to develop and nurture students’ writing abilities. The best part? When the students achieve, you achieve! Sometimes the kids will tell you they got into school before they tell their parents!

:

• Assisting students with drafting and executing ideas for essays
• Help students articulate their thoughts and experiences into prose
• Guiding students as they brainstorm essays
• Meeting with clients consistently until college essays are completed
• Reviewing and editing essays for content and spelling/grammar

Qualifications:

• Charismatic and creative
• Enthusiastic about working with students
• Familiar with the U.S. college application process/essays
• Strong knowledge of grammar/general rules of writing
• Strong interpersonal communication skills to establish rapport with students and parents
• Bachelor's degree, ideally from a U.S. top 50 college or university (Master’s degrees in Creative Writing, Journalism, or English a plus)
• Must be available to accommodate students’ schedules (after school/weekends)
• Committed to their students’ success
