Experienced Fundamental Equity Analyst – Chicago

A prop trading firm, that specialises in equity derivatives, is looking for an experienced Equity analyst to join their Chicago office.

Running both systematic and discretionary strategies, the firm has a well established equity research team which is looking to double the names they cover - with a particular focus on US single stocks.

They are looking for someone who is passionate about equity markets and fundamental research, adept at completing bottom up analysis and who has experience working with volatility products.

The role will be based on the trading room floor in a fast paced and dynamic environment where your work will be used to enhance traders' strategies. The work that you do will directly impact PnL and this will be reflected in a very strong compensation package.

The right candidate will have a minimum of 3 years experience in Equity research (buy or sell side firm) and have strong quantitative skills.

Responsibilities:

• Performing bottom up analysis of private and public companies
• Providing recommendations and guidance on investment decisions
• Build relationships with businesses and sell-side partners

Requirements:

• Exposure to alternative data sets
• 3 years experience within a hedge fund, trading firm or bank
• A bachelor's degree in a highly quantitative or finance related subject
• Strong understanding of bottom-up fundamental analysis
