Job Description
Why work for us?:
PURPOSE: Runs blade, Dozer's, Haul Truck, Excavator and other types of large equipment used for moving, grading and compacting earth, sand, gravel, stone and other materials. Conducts routine daily inspections of equipment and maintains equipment in a clean and safe manner. This is a role for night shifts.
Overview:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Loads material into bins, into crusher, into trucks or into plant
  • Operates blade, dozer's, loaders, excavators, haul trucks or other types of large equipment used for moving, grading and compacting earth, sand, gravel, and stone.
  • Moves earth or other materials from one location to another
  • Keeps equipment clean and orderly
  • Performs visual and safety inspection of equipment; Maintains appearance of equipment, proper air pressure in tires, proper fluid levels and performs minor repairs as needed
Responsibilities:
  • Completes paperwork that may be necessary; assists with other duties required
  • Performs the day-to-day activities of a plant (Quarry), duties could include tasks associated with maintaining the stationary equipment of various plants
  • Maintains and reviews maintenance logs for repairs Communicates with drivers and crew which includes supervisor, loader operators and laborers
  • Ensures that safety, compliance, environmental requirements are followed at all times
Qualifications:

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • REQUIRED: Valid Driver’s License.
  • REQUIRED: Minimum of one year of experience with Blade, Dozer's, Haul Truck, Excavators, Loaders and other types of large equipment used for sand & gravel, and stone.
  • REQUIRED: High School Diploma or equivalent.
