Job Description
Metro Water Recovery in Denver, CO - a nationally recognized leader among clean water utilities, provides wastewater conveyance and treatment services for 2.2 million people in the Denver Metro area.


Description


General Statement of Duties & Organizational Responsibilities


Provides critical review of regulatory documents ( technical writing, formatting, naming conventions , etc . ) , sends all correspondence to external entities, manages transfer of compliance data , assists in coordinating divisional priorities . and provides functional leadership for document management critical to the success of the IPP group. Reports to the Senior IPP Manager .


Examples of Duties


Works closely with IPP Investigators, Specialists, and Managers to identify and mitigate quality risks. Ensures quality standards for IPP documents such as wastewater discharge permits, Administrative Orders, Notices of Violation, inspection reports and reports to regulatory agencies. Ensure documents are legally accurate, follow Metro's and the division's formatting standards, naming conventions and include valid electronic signatures.Responsible for preparing final versions and issuance/sending of electronic and/or hardcopy technical and regulatory documents.Manages filing of all incoming and outgoing pretreatment and regulatory compliance documents in Metro's Records Management System and ensures all documents are appropriately categorized and filed.Manages transfer of compliance data from pretreatment portal to pretreatment database.Manages reporting of pretreatment database as it relates to work products and team metrics at a frequency set by division head. Coordinates intra and inter-departmental work, as directed.Aids in the areas of technical writing and technical presentation development. This may include production, editing, and coordination of correspondence, memoranda, meeting notes, agendas, presentations, and reports which might be of a confidential and/or technical nature.Acts as a primary point of contact for department on various organizational products such as Pretreatment database, Vector, Dayforce, etc.Manages the development of workflows using advanced workflow software in support of the ES/Industrial Pretreatment programs. Provides professional and technical administrative duties to department or division head, including specialized office support such as ordering supplies and equipment, initiating purchase requisitions, handling meeting/catering logistics, coordinating travel arrangements and expenses, managing department budget, and electronic file management utilizing Microsoft cloud-based service sites. Manage calendaring for internal and external presentations, meetings, and other activities of the ES. Manages submittal deadlines, ensuring that formatting and messaging is consistent across projects and submittals.Prepares work orders and initiates “pick ticket” requests from the Warehouse as needed.

Education


Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.


Equivalency equals two years of directly - related professional experience as detailed above for every year of education not completed.


Working Conditions


Work Environment


While performing the duties of the job, the employee is exposed to fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals 1/3 to 2/3 of the time. The employee is exposed to work near moving mechanical parts, wet and humid conditions (non-weather), and outdoor weather conditions less than 1/3 of the time. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.


Physical Demands


While performing the duties of the job, the employee is required to talk or hear and taste or smell more than 2/3 of the time. The employee is required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms 1/3 to 2/3 of the time; and to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl less than 1/3 of the time. The employee must lift and/or move up to 25 pounds more than 2/3 of the time.
