Job Description

Environmental Scientist – Full Time Have you gotten lost in a large firm? Small, well-established, (21 plus years) local environmental consulting firm seeking one or more Environmental Scientists to join its team of geologists, biologists and wetland scientists. Summary: The position involves both office as well as field work and therefore the applicant should be able to work in field conditions typical for Florida and operate ATV's and 4 Wheel Drive Vehicles.

• The ideal candidate will have a related BS or MS degree and at least 2 years of Florida related environmental experience with a knowledge of Florida habitats, wetlands, flora and fauna and listed species. • Ability to work independently • Possess report writing skills • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excell, Outlook, ADOBE, as well as GIS (Arc GIS) and GPS operation systems. • Ability to operate ATV’s and 4 Wheel Drive Vehicles The ideal applicant will possess skills in one or more of the following: ▪ Wetland Jurisdictional Delineations ▪ Environmental Impact and Listed Species Assessments ▪ Gopher Tortoise Relocations ▪ Due Diligence Phase I Environmental Site Assessments ▪ SAV surveys ▪ Seasonal High Water (SHW) determinations ▪ Surface Water Quality Assessments ▪ UMAM Assessments ▪ environmental statistical analysis ▪ GIS and environmental permitting.
