Environmental Engineer / Scientist Jobs

C&S is seeking a full-time Environmental Scientist or Environmental Engineer to join our Environmental Service Group in our Syracuse, New York office. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Assist in compliance reviews, compliance audits and various permitting processes
• Create or assist with the creation of technical reports
• Plan and coordinate field tasks
• Perform sampling of soil, groundwater and other media
• Prepare calculations, inventories, and reports required under various compliance programs (i.e. stormwater, hazardous waste, chemical and oil storage, air, etc.)
• Complete construction observation at various remediation sites
• Communicate with teammates, clients and regulators
• Maintain an accurate project record, including a daily log of all project related activities and communications, when necessary

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• 0 to 5 years of experience in environmental consulting or related field
• A valid driver’s license
• Strong technical writing, analytical, and problem solving skills
• A willingness to travel and undertake overnight travel, when necessary

A minimum bachelor’s degree in environmental science, environmental engineering, or similar

Estimated Compensation Range: $70,000 - 80,000/year*

• Actual compensation may vary based on related work experience, geographical location and market conditions, education/training, certifications, and other credentials, as well as applicable knowledge and skills.
