Job Description

Entry-Level Event Coordinator

POWER Engineers Inc. is seeking an entry-level event coordinator for our Power Delivery Marketing and Proposal Development department. This is a support role working with a senior team member. This role will support senior staff who will execute event management activities including online registration setup and management, the development and creation of content for event mobile apps and virtual event platforms, and onsite event production and staging logistics coordination with vendors, speakers and staff. This position requires someone who is organized, task-list driven and thrives on execution.

The candidate selected for this position may work remotely full-time at a location other than a POWER Engineers designated office/job site. Employees may travel to a POWER office for periodic meetings.

Job Summary of Roles and Responsibilities

Job responsibilities include, but may not be limited to:

  • Coordinating team meetings
  • Planning and organizing engagement activities
  • Administrative tasks related to event planning and logistics
  • Tracking and submitting paperwork for payment processing, such as purchase orders, requisitions and invoices
  • Supporting other coordinators and events
  • Database updates and maintenance
  • Tracking event planning activities and processes
  • Supporting the development of digital marketing tools, such as promotional emails, landing pages and mobile app content

Required Education/Experience

  • Able to work regular business hours with occasional overtime
  • Bachelor’s degree or a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience
  • Willing to travel to an event occasionally, but travel will be a small part of this position
  • Ability to monitor and adhere to multiple, sometimes concurrent deadlines and to prioritize tasks based on shifting needs
  • Must have detailed and meticulous recordkeeping abilities
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple assignments

Preferred Education/Experience

  • Experience with project management software a plus
  • Experience in A/E/C industry a plus
  • Preference given to applicants with two (2) or more years’ experience planning and coordinating events

Salary DOE: The pay range for this position is $50k - $58k per year; however, base pay may be higher or lower depending on the candidate's job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This figure does not include additional compensation such as health benefits, vacation, 401k, etc.
