Entry Level Private Utility Locate Technician

Great opportunity to join our Private Utility Mark Out Team based in Bohemia, NY. Premier Private Locating is looking for an entry level private utility locator. In this position, you are responsible to travel to assigned work sites to identify and mark the location of privately owned subsurface utilities. Utilize various locating techniques and methodologies to identify & mark underground facilities at the work sites, take appropriate pictures and complete related paperwork.

• Strong commitment to safety culture
• Ability to work independently to locate water, sewer, gas, fiber, telecom, electric sanitary and storm utilities
• Highly motivated; strong work ethic, verbal and written communication skills
• Knowledge of and skills in subsurface utility designating field techniques (metal detection, electromagnetic induction [EMI], duct rodding, GPR, etc.)
• Passion for field work and building client relationships through quality work
• Ability to prepare reports and exhibits; basic understanding of computers
• Task management and client relations experience
• 2 years of locating experience preferred
