Title: Entry Level Laboratory Technician – Inorganic Metals Prep
Location: Tukwila, WA

General :

At Analytical Resources, there are multiple departments where we analyze environmental samples from a wide range of clients. In the Inorganic Metals Prep Lab, you will be preparing samples to be analyzed through CVAA, ICP-OES, & ICP-MS. This preparation includes: Digestion and filtration of samples, as well TCLP extraction and training CVAA analysis of Hg. Working as a team is imperative to get samples prepared in a timely matter.

For the entry level position, you will be starting off learning to extract and digest environmental samples for analysis by CVAA, ICP-OES, & ICP MS. You will also be trained for quantitative CVAA analysis in this position.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Understand and follow standard operating procedures.
• Preparing environmental test samples utilizing a variety of laboratory methods/techniques (some detailed above).
• Communication with co-workers and supervisors.
• Follow QC/QA guidelines.
• Follow laboratory safety procedures and adhere to the chemical hygiene plan.
• Qualitative analysis of samples.
• Assist with general lab duties (cleaning, sample archival, disposal, stocking).

Preferred Knowledge and Experience:

• A degree from a university, preferably in chemistry or environmental sciences. (Preferred but not required)
• Comfortable with computers. (Preferred)

Essential Mental, Physical and Auditory/Visual Requirements:

• Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to lift or move up to 30~50 pounds.
• Able to adapt to changes in work priorities to improve company process.
• Able to communicate clearly with co-workers and supervisors if there are questions/issues.

Job Type: Full-time
