Job Description
Bishop Hendricken High School is looking to hire a full time English/Language Arts teacher for the 2023-2024 school year. The teacher will be responsible for teaching 5 courses to grades 11 and 12. The 11th grade curriculum is a survey of British Literature, and the 12th grade curriculum is a survey of World Literature. The ideal candidate will be comfortable teaching both curricula as well as vocabulary, grammar, and writing instruction.
We are looking for an energetic, organized, creative teacher who works well in collaboration with others both in the department and with other subject area departments. Experience with struggling readers is preferred. The qualified applicant will have at least a bachelors degree in English, and a bachelors degree in Secondary Education is preferred. Candidates with teaching experience at the high school level are preferred.
