This position will work at the Youth Correctional Center in Mandan. Position will be required to work 40 hours/week.
Start date August 3, 2023.
Summary of Work
Work involves individual and/or classroom instruction of youth and in a Correctional Facility. Subject taught will be English. Position is offered a 10 month contract with the option for a summer school contract.
Duties and Tasks
Participate in program and curriculum development.
Develop course objectives and prepare lesson plans.
Plan and implement instructional methods techniques and procedures used in presentation.
Participate in teacher meetings, teacher in service, and other required meetings.
Counsel or tutor students as necessary.
Prepare and maintain scholastic records.
Prepare and maintain reports as required.
Minimum Qualifications
This instructor position requires a teaching license valid in the state of North Dakota in English or the ability to become a licensed teacher in the state of ND.
