Summary You will serve as an ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN in the ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT of MAINTENANCE CENTER ALBANY. Applicants that have previously applied NEED to re-apply to this announcement Responsibilities You will review drawings, specifications, cost estimates, correspondences prepared by customers. Contractors, engineering designers and public work facilities professionals and coordinate phases of implementation. You will conduct market research to identify that latest state-of art production equipment available. You will assure that quality products and services are completed on time and within budget cost as applicable. You will assume ownership and responsibility for the needs of the customers. You will make effective and timely recommendations, to balance organizational needs and customer needs. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-10 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Planning, researching , designing, troubleshooting, and evaluating solutions to technical problems that arise with the production facilities to include productions equipment, recommending improvements, and to include developing complex purchase description, statement of work, (SOW) and request for proposal for facility related projects. Education Additional Information This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program.
