POSITION OVERVIEW


As Carpenter Shop Engineer you will be responsible for making repairs and improvements to an already great property. Your attention to detail and ability to lead a diverse team will ensure the functionality of our resort and the safety and satisfaction of every guest.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The following and other duties may be assigned as necessary:

  • Design and drafting
  • Temporary or permanent duties and responsibilities may be added to or modified as deemed necessary
  • Maintenance on hotel and casino
  • Repair of all types of millwork
  • All door maintenance
  • Physical ability to access all areas of the property
  • Maintain a clean DMV record
  • Work closely with other departments
  • Repairing and installation of GFRC, GFRG products
  • Project cost estimation
  • All forms of construction from framing to millwork
  • Immediately notify department leader of any changes to the Nevada Driver’s License status.
  • Provide a current Nevada Motor Vehicle Report to the department leader and Risk Management every 6 months
  • Maintain a current MSDS book
  • General repairs of carpentry related items
  • Repair of all furniture

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.   • Ability to read, analyze and interpret documents including blueprints.
  • Possess general maintenance skills to include experience with hand tools, lighting knowledge, electrical, plumbing
  • Drywall
  • Polished appearance and demeanor
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Molding (base crown)
  • Ability to obtain and maintain full knowledge and understanding of company and department rules and regulations, policies and procedures
  • At least six years of carpentry experience
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Basic computer skills to include ten key
  • Time accounting estimating
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate in English
  • Ceiling/Door repair

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position does not have supervisory responsibility.

Member must be able to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state, and local regulations.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret documents in English, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to read and communicate verbally in English. Written communication skills in English may also be required.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

While performing the duties of this job, the Member is regularly required to stand and use hands and fingers to handle or utilize objects, tools, or controls. The Member must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Requires transporting, pushing, pulling, and maneuvering items weighing up to 100 pounds and must have the ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop, stack, crouch, kneel and balance when performing job duties in varying work areas such as confined spaces.
