Job Description
We are seeking an Engineer to join our Systems Engineering discipline at our West Palm Beach, FL office. This site operates on a 9/80 work schedule.


This position will support the RL10 rocket engine programs, reporting to the Sr. Manager, System Development & Verification.


This position may be filled at this level or one level higher.

Essential Functions


95% - Operating under direct supervision, the candidate will be supporting RL10 Production & Development programs, including system integration, engine system development & verification, planning, test planning, testing in various environments, engine system and subsystem test, test equipment & facility coordination, test article assembly coordination & hardware assessment, instrumentation requirements and coordination, test readiness review & risk assessment and verification & test report documentation.


5% - Limited travel in support of customer meetings an off-site testing as required.


Requirements


Bachelor's in Aerospace, Mechanical, Systems Engineering or related technical discipline plus two (2) years experience in a similar field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A strong academic track record is required. An advanced degree is desirable. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are required.


Requires U.S. Citizenship or status as a U.S. Person. Must be able to satisfy federal government requirements for access to government information, and having dual citizenship may preclude you from being able to meet this requirement.


Work Environment/Physical Requirements:


Employees in these positions must possess mobility to work in a standard office setting and to use standard office equipment, including a computer; stamina to sit or stand and maintain attention to detail despite interruptions; may occasionally lift/carry/push/pull up to 25 pounds; may require occasional walking, climbing, stooping, crouching, and/or bending; and vision to read printed materials and a computer screen, and hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the telephone. Requires the ability to travel by air or auto. May require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, safety shoes, and shop coat. These positions may be expected to work varying shifts and hours to ensure successful operation of activities in the organization.
