Job Description

Key Role:

Manage the application of analytical risk management principles that enable organizations to achieve mission assurance by preparing for, preventing, mitigating, responding to, and recovering from emergencies. Apply specific functional, working, and general industry knowledge. Develop or contribute to solutions to a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity. Work independently with some guidance. May review or guide activities of more junior employees.

Basic Qualifications:

  • HS diploma and 6+ years of experience with emergency preparedness or Bachelor's degree and 4+ years of experience with emergency preparedness
  • TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
  • Experience with presenting information to a range of stakeholders
  • Knowledge of emergency preparedness procedures, policies, and directives associated with the National Incident Management System (NIMS), National Preparedness Framework, and other Federal related guidance and policy
  • Experience with developing, delivering, and conducting workforce training, including emergency preparedness, facility and occupancy management, family preparedness, and deployment training for personnel and support teams

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience with Military or Civilian Government
  • Experience with consulting
  • Experience with using Microsoft Office Suite applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, and Project
  • Experience as an Action Officer
  • Associate Emergency Manager (AEM) or Certified Emergency Manager (CEM) from the International Association of Emergency Managers (IAEM) Certification
  • Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $65,300.00 to $149,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
