We are currently seeking a School Social Worker who will support elementary students at one of our partner schools in Broomfield, CO. The ideal candidate has experience providing direct services to K-5 elementary students, along with IEP and FBA/BIP development. This is a top-performing district in the area with supportive staff and technology-forward student initiatives (iPads provided for each student, interactive whiteboards and sound systems in every classroom!) centered around growth and success.

8:00AM - 3:00PM

Responsibilities:

• Promote student self-advocacy and independence by encouraging each student to identify his/her needs and preferences
• Offer staff development on issues related to social-emotional-environmental factors that impact learning
• Connect students and families with applicable community mental health organizations
• Collaborate with families about the educational planning for each student
• Conduct Functional Assessments that incorporate multiple data/information sources, including formal/informal observation of behaviors that interfere with learning
• Develop methods of tracking the effectiveness of behavior support plans through the analysis of behavioral data and makes changes to the plan as necessary
• Other duties as assigned
• Organize classroom meetings, social skills groups, etc on identified areas of concern for the students
• Provide school-based counseling services to children with IEPs and at-risk students
• Create a safe and welcoming environment for students to encourage social, emotional, and educational growth
• Participate in IEP meetings and maintain records of assessments and progress monitoring
• Conduct services in individual and/or group settings based on student’s needs

Requirements:

• Master’s Degree in Social Work
• School Social Work Endorsement (CDE)
• Valid Social Work license issued in the state of Colorado (DORA)
