ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform other related duties as required and assigned
• Incorporate Biblical principals in education
• Collaborate with a grade-level partner, department leads, support staff, and the school administration by attending faculty meetings and trainings to enhance understanding of curriculum and teaching skills
• Support the mission, vision, and core values of Valley Christian Schools
• Work to be scheduled according to the Elementary School's needs
• Develop and implement lesson plans and instructional activities in art that are aligned to the CA State Standards
• Be community-minded and builder of relationships
• Participate in professional development opportunities provided by the school
• Provide an effective environment where students can practice their creativity
• Create professional growth goals and work to meet these goals throughout the school year

Requirements:

• CA State Teaching Credential (preferred, may be working toward this)
• Ability to manage elementary student population
• Minimum BA/BS Degree in related field.
• ACSI Temporary, Standard, or Professional Teaching Certificate (or willingness to acquire)
• Experience in working with Elementary School aged children
