A day in the life (just a few of the things you may do on any given day):
We are seeking an experienced Electronics Technician with a TS clearance to join our team. As an Electronics Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of our government customer's encrypted, two-way FM radio systems and Internet Protocol (IP) techniques. Your expertise in radio system networks, infrastructure, and subscriber components will be crucial in ensuring the seamless operation of this radio system. Additionally, you will order and deploy mobile and portable two-way radios and accessories, prepare technical reports, and collaborate with field office technical personnel. The ideal candidate has a strong background in electronics, possesses excellent technical skills, and holds a TS clearance.
Responsibilities:
  • Order, maintain, and deploy mobile and portable two-way radios and accessories through established contracts.
  • Develop and maintain radio system networks, addressing radio system engineering problems related to infrastructure and subscriber components, propagation, frequency allocations, radio frequency interference, land-mobile concepts, and linking technology.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support the successful implementation and operation of radio system networks.
  • Stay updated with emerging technologies, industry standards, and best practices related to radio systems and communications.
  • Install, maintain, and troubleshoot the encrypted, two-way FM radio systems and Internet Protocol (IP) techniques.
  • Prepare technical written reports that articulate radio system design, performance, and objectives, while maintaining continual liaison with field office technical personnel to facilitate the installation, operation, and maintenance of the client radio system.
  • Adhere to security protocols and maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information.
What we are expecting from you (i.e. the qualifications you must have):
  • Ability to develop and maintain radio system networks, address engineering problems, and resolve issues related to infrastructure and subscriber components, propagation, frequency allocations, radio frequency interference, land-mobile concepts, and linking technology.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • 5+ years of experience in electronics or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of encrypted, two-way FM radio systems and Internet Protocol (IP) techniques.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Top Secret (TS) security clearance.
  • Excellent technical writing skills to prepare detailed reports on radio system design, performance, and objectives.
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Electronics Theory, or equivalent combination of education, technical certifications, and training (preferred).
  • Proficiency in the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of radio systems and related equipment.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Experience in ordering, maintaining, and deploying mobile and portable two-way radios and accessories.
