Job Description

Position: Electronics Technician II

Reports To: Subject Matter Expert

Department: FPCLS - Charleston, SC

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Supervises: None

Pay Rate: $32.82 per hour

$29.59 base + $4.23 H/W

General Function

Performs all aspects of systems troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of military Force

Protection Equipment. Provide support to military call centers and warehouse.

Major Activities (Typical Duties/Responsibilities)

1. Inspects and maintains electronic parts for the military and government sections.

2. Responsible for operational setup, maintenance, circuit testing, and modification of electronic

equipment and systems.

3. Repair and troubleshoot Multiple types of Force Protection type equipment to include but not

limited to night vision, thermal imaging, drug/explosive detection equipment, Under Vehicle

Security Systems, DroneBuster systems, and tent heaters

4. Provided experienced telephonic equipment troubleshooting and repairs

5. Verify the correctness of incoming shipments by comparing items and quantities unloaded against

bills of lading, invoices, manifests, storage receipts, or other records.

6. Ensure that goods are appropriately identified for routing to departments within the establishment

7. Prepare and keep records of goods received and check for damaged goods

8. Domestic and International travel may be required

9. Work other than normal duty hours, which will include, dayshift, swing-shift, nightshift, evenings,

weekends, and/or holidays as the mission and duty warrants required

10. Perform shipping, receiving and warehouse functions as required

11. Other duties as assigned

Skills/Abilities

  • Detailed understanding of the interrelationships of circuits and judgement in planning work

sequence and in selecting tools and testing instruments

  • Strong understanding of military and government electronic devices and radios
  • Ability to deal effectively with personnel at various levels of command, both orally and in

writing

  • Valid U.S. Driver’s license
  • Ability to operate forklifts and fork trucks
  • Secret Level security clearance required
  • U.S. Citizenship required
  • Drug Screen and Background Check, with Motor Vehicle Record: Pass with the ability to

maintain throughout employment

  • Must meet COVID-19 vaccination requirements under EO14042

Minimum Experience & Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business or

other related discipline preferred

  • 2 years related job experience required
