Fluidra is seeking an Electronic Assembler to join the team at our Taylor Water Technologies location in Sparks, MD.

The Xpress Flex Electronic Assembler will be responsible for assembling testing systems and preparing industrial or consumer products for storage or shipment. This system is an advanced test strip reader that uses lighting and imaging technology to provide fast and accurate test results.

WHAT YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE

  • Must be able to work in a repetitive work environment and be able to stand for extended periods of time
  • Label, package and/or palletize finished product for storage or shipment as required.
  • Perform additional duties as required and work extended hours when necessary.
  • Assemble electronic equipment, connect cables and wiring and upload firmware.
  • Monitor product through the production cycle and perform sampling inspections to validate quality standards. Remove, separate, document and report defective materials/products.
  • Perform operator preventive maintenance on materials and equipment to ensure non-stop production. Report defective equipment to appropriate leader.
  • Document work completion via paperwork and computer entry.
  • Monitor materials levels. Resupply the station and initiate resupply notification in a timely manner to avoid work-stoppage.
  • Assemble parts or units, and position, align, and fasten units to assemblies, or subassemblies, using sealants and hand tools.
  • Operate industrial equipment.
  • Assist Read, interpret, and execute instructions to create a quality product.

WHAT WE SEEK

  • Prior experience operating production line machinery preferred, but not required.
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent

Knowledge:

English fluency, good mechanical reasoning aptitude and proficient basic math skills. Knowledge of machines and tools including their designs, uses, repair and maintenance.

Skills:
Read, interpret, and execute job instructions. Proficient computer skills to navigate windows-based systems.

  • Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and Outlook. Ability to operate Program Logic Controller (PLC) screens and input and retrieve data using Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software
  • Ability to use basic hand and power tools.
  • Ability to operate powered and non-powered industrial trucks and materials handling and packaging equipment. Ability to control the operation of equipment or systems.
  • Knowledge of electronic equipment, computer hardware and software
  • Must be able to work safely and always maintain a clean and organized work area.

Abilities:

  • Must be able to pass the Farnsworth-Munsell 100 Hue Test This test for color blindness will be administered by Taylor Water Technologies.
  • Able to meet reasonable deadlines and adapt to frequent job order changes, as necessary.
  • Able to work independently and in team environments with minimal supervision after training.
  • Possess good interpersonal skills and emotional control.
  • Able to problem solve and use continuous process improvement techniques to standardize and improve work processes.
  • Must be able to work at a steady pace, while maintaining attention to detail, high accuracy/thoroughness.
