Job Description


Electrical/Controls Engineer


American Extrusion International is a global company engaged in the design, development, manufacture, installation and service of Grain Extrusion Equipment and other up/downstream accessories for the Food Industry. Job Duties


The successful candidate will review and improve processes for manufacture of machinery and tooling, ensuring quality products will be delivered to customers.


Responsibilities


  • Travel may be required, up to 10%, including international.
  • Write/update automation software (PLC) programs
  • Obtain necessary information from sales staff to select necessary equipment.
  • Verify via checklist that all machines work as expected before shipping to customer.
  • Collaborate with mechanical engineering and manufacturing to ensure an efficient process.
  • Communicate with vendors regarding price/capability of products.
  • Start-up and troubleshoot machines.
  • Create and update electrical prints from which a machine control can be wired properly.
  • Create bill of material to include all items necessary to build electrical controls.


Qualifications


The successful candidate must possess:


  • Working knowledge of MS Office
  • Ability to be productive with no immediate supervision
  • Bachelor's degree or technical degree and experience.
  • Problem Solving and Analytical Skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • 3+ Years' experience writing/updating PLC programs or comparable programming experience.


While The Following Would Be a Plus


  • AutoCad experience
  • Bilingual/Multi-Lingual language skills.
