Job Title: Electrical Estimator

As an Electrical Estimator at Still Electric, you will play a crucial role in preparing accurate cost estimates for electrical projects, ensuring that projects are competitively priced and aligned with customer requirements. You will collaborate with the project management team, engineers, and clients to gather relevant information and produce comprehensive estimates.
Responsibilities:
·Review project specifications, drawings, and other relevant documents to understand project scope and requirements.
·Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and clients to gather necessary information for accurate estimates.
·Analyze labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor costs to develop detailed project cost estimates.
·Utilize estimating software and tools to ensure consistency and accuracy in cost calculations.
·Prepare and submit timely and competitive bids and proposals to team.
·Maintain a database of costs, materials, and labor rates for future reference.
·Participate in bid review meetings and discussions with the project team.
·Identify cost-saving opportunities and value engineering options.
·Stay updated with industry trends, material costs, and labor rates to ensure accurate estimates.
·Assist in post-bid analysis and lessons learned to refine future estimates.
·Attend any required in-person meetings.
·Ability to work an average of 20-25 hours a week.
Qualifications:
Preferred:
·Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
·Professional certifications (e.g., Certified Professional Estimator) are a plus.
Required:
·5+ years proven experience as an electrical estimator in the construction industry (commercial and residential)
·Proficiency in using electrical estimating software and tools.
·Strong knowledge of electrical systems, materials, codes, and regulations.
·Excellent mathematical and analytical skills.
·Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
·Attention to detail and accuracy in estimating.
·Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
·Familiarity with project management processes and terminology.
