Electrical Engineer - Substation CLP Engineering (CLPE) is seeking motivated and talented Electrical Engineers with power systems background to join the team at our corporate location in Greenwood Village, CO. CLPE offers a wide range of engineering services to investor-owned, municipal, cooperative, government, industrial, and commercial customers. Duties & Responsibilities:

• Gain and maintain intermediate knowledge of power system protection and relaying schemes for electrical distribution system.
• Salary range: $103,000-$132,000 based on experience plus eligible to participate in Short Term Incentive Plan.
• Perform site surveys for new utility service requests, develop concept design alternatives and present the alternatives to CLPE management and the customer.
• Schedule and attend field walk-downs with our Customers to understand and determine project requirements.
• Assist Lead Engineers with major capital upgrade projects.

• Create system model for large-scale power system in ETAP (or similar software) and perform various power system analysis/studies.
• Up to 20% to client sites. Other Requirements:
• Assist in designing sub-transmission systems, substations, switching stations, and commercial/industrial power distribution system.

• Familiar with power system analysis, distribution system modeling, and protective device coordination
• Analyze electrical fault events, power quality issues, system loading scenarios and assist with implementing corrective actions.

• Five plus (5+) years' related engineering work experience
• Must be a Team Player with excellent oral and written communication skills Travel:
• You will be required to obtain Military Base Security Access. Benefits & Compensation:

• Valid driver’s license required.
• Experience with medium voltage electrical substations and distribution systems
• Develop concept design alternatives, engineering calculations, analysis, and engineering estimates for small-scale system improvement projects for substations and distribution systems.
• You must be a U.S. citizen.
• Software experience with ETAP or similar software
