Job Description

Hill International is seeking an Electrical Engineer in West Milton, New York.


  • Support and assist facility engineer team.
  • Define project scopes in close coordination with facility sponsors.
  • Work in the capacity of the project owner directing and overseeing engineering firms to develop concept designs, evaluations, and execution plan support.
  • Evaluate system operations and specify preventative/corrective maintenance.

  • Full Covid-19 vaccination is recommended. Mandatory vaccinations and proof of vaccination are subject to client requirements, federal, state, or local law.
  • Experience with the development of engineering documents (e.g., design drawings, technical specifications, and engineering analyses).
  • Experience with the interpreting or reading or development of engineering documents (e.g. design drawings, technical specifications and engineering analyses).
  • Five to ten years of experience required in the field.
  • Demonstrated strong interpersonal, teaming skills and the ability to coordinate multi-discipline teams.
  • Commercial and industrial power distribution design and maintenance experience preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge and experience with shock and arc flash safety assessment/calculation.
  • Working knowledge of the Building Code set for New York State and associated reference standards such as: NFPA standards, NEC standards, and others.
  • Familiarity with Building Codes for New York State and National Electric Code requirements (for campus and industrial type facilities).
  • Knowledge/experience with NFPA70: National Electrical Code and NFPA70E: Standard for Electrical Safety in the Workplace.
  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from an accredited college or university.
  • Knowledge and experience with AUTOCAD and with circuit modeling software, e.g., EZ Power.
  • Master's degree in engineering or in electrical engineering from an accredited college or university.
  • Must be willing to work full time onsite in West Milton. NY.

The salary range for this position is $110,000.00 - $145,000.00. The offered salary will be based on the applicant’s qualifications, education, experience, and work location.
