Job Description
& Responsibilities:
We are looking for a Electrical Engineer who will be responsible for leading research and development of new products, leading improvements existing products and overall Systems solutions. This role will play a critical role developing Wave Relay Product solutions with our DOD customers. The Product Design Engineer will identify customer needs through face to face interaction and play a critical role in developing the product solution. The Electrical Engineer will operate out of our New York City offices and manage projects involving a variety of functions with both on-site and remote teams.


Position Responsibilities

  • Managing, deriving, and capturing Product/Program requirements including mechanical and electrical interface design specifications, component requirements, and functional block diagrams
  • Supporting the change management process to ensure all required actions have been completed and that communication to key stakeholders is maintained
  • Modifying and updating requirements documents
  • Coordinating preparation of design drawings including updates
  • Supporting software and hardware testing
  • Providing support and delivering solutions for rapid development projects
  • Supporting and facilitating engineering projects including new product/solution development, product changes, and customer integration
  • Ensuring quality documentation is updated/created as required, including technical manuals
  • Supporting and facilitating project scheduling
Job Qualifications & Experience :

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must have a United States security clearance or the ability to obtain a United States security clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related field
  • Product Development experience
  • Experience with complex systems development, evaluation and requirements capture
  • Experience with electrical and mechanical interface requirements
  • At least 3 years of experience in hardware design
  • Must be willing to travel up to 50% of the time
  • Experience in risk analysis and progress reporting

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in electromagnetic capability (EMC) testing and design
  • 5+ years of systems engineering and networking experience
  • Experience in RF engineering
  • Knowledge of military certification/qualification testing
  • Knowledge of audio/video encoder/decoders and interfaces
  • Experience with Embedded Linux
  • Experience with enclosure/packaging design for hardware

The base pay for this role can vary from $110,000 to $130,000 a year based on individual qualifications. Eligibility for yearly discretionary bonus.
