We are currently seeking an Electrical Engineer for our Electrical Engineering & Computer Science Practice in Phoenix, AZ. In this role, you will work as part of a team of problem solvers who deliver solutions based on best practices in engineering and scientific fields. Team members have autonomy, self-confidence, initiative, and team spirit to seek answers on topics outside and within their area of specialization.

You will be responsible for:

• Communicating project updates to other team members, clients, and administrative staff
• Critically assessing test results, methods of analysis and testing protocols, generating new testing protocols based on new product designs, maintaining a systematic approach to data collection and storage, and report writing
• Managing projects from initiation to completion
• Ensuring that Exponent meets its deadlines and produces exceptional work product
• Identifying business development opportunities
• Preparing technical proposals, pursuing business developments, and supervising and managing laboratory testing
• Setting up and executing various test programs, including full-scale battery tests
• Performing electrical engineering analyses consulting related to ongoing Exponent work

You will have the following skills and qualifications:

• Field and/or lab experience with good hands-on skills
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills, and ability to work independently or in multidisciplinary teams
• Mechatronics background would be a plus
• Experience with electric vehicle, battery pack, or cell testing preferred
• Ability to gather information and convey technical conclusions to individuals in engineering, business, and related industry
• Masters or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering
• Experience setting up and executing various test programs
• Ability to support multiple group projects and market the Electrical Engineering & Computer Science Practice and its consulting services
• Technical background in electronics, electrical circuits, controls or embedded systems
