Vishay in Niagara Falls, NY is hiring a Process Engineer. The successful candidate will d evelop or revise test and measurement processes to improve yield or product quality and reduce cost. Develop related work procedures, provide training, and monitor processes. Specify, justify, order, and install test and measurement equipment, software, upgrades, and tooling. Assist with repair, maintenance, and calibration. Help troubleshoot test or measurement issues and resolve customer concerns. Must be able to work with ITAR export-controlled documents and products.
How You'll Help Us Build The DNA Of Tech
  • Complete project management tasks such as leading related work from concept through release to production and follow-up.
  • Complete test & measurement tool management: specify, justify, order, install, test and measurement equipment, software, upgrades, and tooling.
  • Complete production support when a test or measurement process goes out of control or related equipment goes down
  • Develop related work procedures, provide training, and monitor processes
  • Assist with related repair, maintenance, and calibration
  • Complete software programming: create test programs for new products or equipment, maintain existing programs and servers, and completed related database maintenance
  • Troubleshoot test or measurement issues and resolve customer concerns.
  • Develop/revise processes to improve yield or product quality and reduce cost
Experience You'll Need
  • Lean six sigma training is a plus.
  • Computer aided design (CAD) experience required. Autodesk Fusion 360 is desirable.
  • Experience in electronic component manufacturing is preferred.
  • Able to work with ITAR export-controlled documents and products.
  • LabVIEW experience desirable.
  • Thin film process or resistor manufacturing experience is a plus.
  • Minimum 3 years experience in a similar test and measurement engineering role
  • B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering
