Job Description

Principle Duties:

  1. Review contract specifications.
  2. Determine costs for RFQs (request for quotes).
  3. Review electrical and hydraulic schematics, and piping and instrumentation diagrams.
  4. Design and draft electrical control systems in Autocad Electrical. Knowledge of Andritz standard design and NEC code.
  5. Handle internal and customer design/status review meetings.
  6. Write procurement specifications, and factory test and commissioning procedures.
  7. Work with purchasing to specify and order equipment.
  8. Perform factory acceptance tests.
  9. Write O&M manuals.
  10. Calibrate instrumentation
  11. Commission and troubleshoot electrical control, hydraulic lubricating, and water cooling systems. Ability to travel and be on-site for several weeks if required.
  12. Create factory test and commissioning reports.
  13. Able to perform basic PLC programming modifications.


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  1. BS degree in electrical engineering
  2. 3-5 years experience
  3. combination of education and experience


IMPORTANT NOTE:

All applicants must be willing to relocate up to 3 years to various Hydroelectric project sites throughout the continental United States.
