Essential Responsibilities (included But Are Not Limited To)


  • Communicate and maintain a favorable rapport with team leaders, engineering, maintenance, and production associates.
  • Employees will have to follow any other job-related instructions and to perform any other job-related duties requested by their supervisor.

  • Support operations by finding and resolving chronic electrical issues and problems that cannot be resolved by production associates.
  • This position does not require supervision of other associates.
  • May not pose a direct threat or significant risk to themselves or others
  • Follow all GMP/QSR regulations.
  • Minimize electrical safety risk by ensuring approved procedures are followed and the proper standards are met.
  • Enforcing, all local, state, federal and embecta safety regulations, policies/procedures.

  • Obey all safety programs, policies & regulations.
  • Uses PC to interface with PLC’s and peripheral equipment i.e., Rockwell Automation.
  • Aid with the support and deployment of projects throughout MLD/NL/SWAB operations and other areas as directed to support business needs.

  • Troubleshooting and repair of electrical systems for equipment such as injection molding machines, resin handling equipment, hot runner controllers, granulators, temperature control units, tote changers, conveyors, etc., as well as high-speed assembly and packaging equipment.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
  • Ensures compliance through proper communication, training, and education of sound Quality Assurance principles.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and fully cooperate with co-workers and management.
  • Cooperate fully with the safety and environmental programs.
  • Compliance with embecta quality policies/procedures/practices through consistent application of sound Quality Assurance principles.


Basic Requirements


  • An associates degree (Electronics or related field)

Preferred Requirements


  • Demonstrated electrical/mechanical aptitude.
  • Working knowledge of interpreting electrical & mechanical drawings using AutoCAD.
  • Ability to work with minimal direction/supervision.
  • Aptitude and adherence to FDA and site regulations for change control.
  • Proven ability to logically troubleshoot electrical issues i.e., ability to use electronic/electrical test equipment including VOM, clamp on ammeter, logic analyzer, oscilloscope, etc.
  • Fluent in Microsoft Office Suite, including MS Project, Teams, etc.
  • Detail oriented
  • 2+ years of experience related to industrial automated controls.
  • Experience with SAP for PM work orders, ordering of materials, etc.
  • Good technical writing and verbal communication skills, planning and organization skills, problem solving, and decision-making skills.
