What We Are Looking For
FEDERAL TIMES is seeking an enterprising and motivated intern to provide coverage on the federal government’s workforce. We are looking for current students and recent graduates with solid writing and reporting skills to join our newsroom and support coverage of federal workforce policy and breaking news. You will have the opportunity to work on daily beat reporting as well as developing enterprise stories, all with your byline on our site. This work will include assigned coverage as well as the chance to pitch stories to the editorial team. We are looking for someone who is interested in the inner workings of government, passionate about the field of journalism and eager to learn. The position will be expected to work approximately 29 hours a week during the six-month internship.
LOCATION REQUIREMENTS
The position will be predominantly remote; however applicants should be within reasonable distance of Washington, D.C. in order to pursue in-person coverage of federal happenings.
